Good news!!! Mummy passed the glucose test!!! Which means, you can still get to eat all the good food!!! Wahaha!! U know what I did after I got the results? I went to buy durians and eat!!! Yumz!! Previously have been controlling not to eat too much cos scared of gestational diabetes but now I can eat without worries! Also cannot eat too much still cos baby you are on the big side and durians pump up baby fast.. It'd be difficult for me to go natural if you are too big...

Baby you weigh 1.3kg as of 28weeks 5days. Normal should be around 1.1kg. You are 0.2kg more! And you look really chubby too!!! You have really chubby cheeks and we think you look so cute!!

This is how you look like facing us. Can you see your portruding cheeks and your as usual big nose?? Pinch pinch!!!

And this is from the side view. Your nose bridge very high hor? Mummy think you will be a very handsome boy!! But your lips also very 跷！！ Next time can talk a lot...













Mummy weighs 10kg, only an increase of 0.5kg from the last scan. Which means baby is absorbing most of the food mummy's taking in. "Jin Tam Jia" (meaning very greedy)!! Lol...

Time flies... We are officially into the 3rd trimester already.. Getting more and more excited for your arrival!! And we have started to wash your old and new baby clothes, packing them into plastic bags first before unpacking them again in End Jan'13 for your arrival.. Are you excited to see dad and mum too??

Next scan will be in 4 weeks time. Still a long way to go... I thought it should be about 3 weeks once we hit our 3rd trimester. Anyway, it must be good so gynae don't have to see us so often ya?

We are going to see you again tomorrow baby!!

Baby Keanan!! Has it been almost a week mummy hasn't been chatting with you? Not much updates recently... Only mummy's tummy's getting bigger and it's getting heavier. And it has started to put pressure on my legs and I'm not able to walk for too long.. But I walked too long on last Saturday because of the IT Expo Fair that now I'm feeling slightly strained in the legs... Hopefully the pain will go off in awhile..

We are going to see you again tomorrow baby!! And mummy's going to take the glucose test. Remember you were a little big at week 25? So we got to check if mummy has Gestational diabeties that causes you to be big or you are just big... It's going to be an early day too, gotta be at gynae at 9.30am, and drink a very sweet and concentrated liquid, wait for 2 hours and go back to gynae to check again. Keanan bo pi mama everything is fine, no GD ya?? If not the road's gonna be tough cos I will have to control my diet greatly.. And you know mummy loves to eat and eat and eat!! Think the results will be out in a week or so, so I will keep you updated!!

Newborn Photography for you!!

Keanan, mummy was contemplating whether to take up newborn photography for you or not until I saw this really good package at the Expo Fair. Actually I got to know about it after the fair and through the online mummy group, so I quickly called up the company and asked if they can extend the package.

I bought the package from StudioPlay. For sample of their pictures, here is the website .

So far this is the cheapest I have seen already. Package cost only $168.

Was actually comparing between a few companies, namely, StudioPlay, The Studio Loft, P.S I love you, dphotofolio. And in the end, mummy went ahead with StudioPlay cos their package was too irresistable. P.S I love you had REALLY nice pictures, but they were too expensive...

Mount Alvernia Hospital Tour on 15th Nov 2012

The nurses at Dr. Cheng has started to ask mummy which hospital am I going to give birth and which ward I'm gonna stay.. From what I know, Dr. Cheng gives birth at Mount Elizabeth and Mount Alvernia. I'm going for the latter because it's nearer to home. So mummy booked a hospital tour at Mount A to check out how the wards look like.

Once you reach, proceed to Block A Level 3. Office hours can do admission there, after office hours, mummy come here, daddy go to Biz centre for registration.

Prices are package prices. Mummy was so stupid I initially thought was per night charges. If that's the case, i think I would like to have the SUPER DELUXE!! I know daddy will agree, since he initially said ok for the suite. I'm helping him save a few hundred by downgrading to super deluxe already. 

Rooms are first-come-first-serve basis though. Baby you must "bo pi" the ward is available when you come out!!!!!! At least let mummy have a good 2 night rest ya??

Hi Keanan, I know... it's been more than a week mummy hasn't talked to you.. I've been busy meeting up with friends this week and there are so many things that happened this week too..

Mummy has been lazy since week 24 and didn't take pictures of tummy. Hehe... Show u how my tummy looks like at week 27!

Bigger!! Bigger!! Every week u are growing bigger and bigger and mummy's also getting more and more excited!! You kick so much now and i think it's because my tummy is very "compact" and that's why your kicks can be felt a lot too.. Can see mummy's tummy moving at times and it's simply amazing... 

Mummy's typing this blog at your Dua Kim's house because I have been kicked out of the house!!! The main gate's remote control is spoilt and needs repair. Uncle says need to hack the floor and change a new motor. And I had to get out at 10am this morning!!!! 10AM!!!! Zzzzzz.. I'm feeling soooo sleepy now.... :( 

Going back really soon and I'll continue with the hospital tour at Mount Alvernia last Thursday. And have to decide which room or suite to take also. And also your branded clothes have arrived from HongKong, hand-delivered by your Paulene Yi Yi. They look really nice and the quality's good!! Show u pictures too later when I take them. :)

Car Seat - Aprica Fladea

Baby Keanan!!!! We have got you your car seat in a very impromptu and sudden decision today. Mummy had actually wanted to get you Maxi Cosi Opal, but changed my mind within a day!! Because the one we bought for you really looks too cool and sturdy and was highly recommended by another mama-to-be friend. Maxi Cosi Opal cost $599 (cheapest in mkt), and the one we bought for you cost $759, another $160 difference! No no, I wasn't the one who decided on this car seat in the end, it was your Pa Pa. Instead, I thought it really cost abit too much. Can't imagine I was the one who thought it cost too much and daddy was willing to pay!!! But I am really very touched by your Papa's actions today...

We made the decision in such a haste cos today is the last day of the fair. Usual price is $1,099. If purchase online during promotion from Aprisin, it's $899, DURING PROMO ok?? But at the fair, we got it at $759!! So no choice, have to rush down!!

The car seat for you is called Aprica Fladea. The plus points of this car seat is it can be rotated 360 degrees and makes it easier to bring you in and out of the car. And there's a long "stick" supporting the whole car seat "fixed" to the floor. Aiya, don't know how to explain. And you can sleep comfortably cos it can be transformed to be a bed in the car. See pictures! And there's ventilation system for this car seat too! Seems like many more plus points than Opal. It was really pretty hard to make this decision cos it's really quite expensive!! So we went back to Maxi Cosi and take a look at it again. With comparisons, Fladea definitely looked much more sturdy and safer. So your PA PA said BUY FLADEA. And Ma Ma jin happy.... (Thou heartpain awhile for his pocket). :)

Minus points of this car seat is that it is VERY HEAVY!! Anyway, it won't be removed from the car, so it should be ok still.

So, your car seat is settled!!! Next big thing is your stroller and we are still deciding on Pliko P3 or SI Completo. Think you dad wants completo cos he finds it lighter and thinks it will be easier for me to handle. So sweet of papa to think of mama... Hehe... But I'm fine with both anyway. At most, I'll just train up muscles!

Got the Braun Thermometer at a great price I really have to share!!

No no!! Mum's not crazy to buy so many at a time. The rest belongs to other mummies I helped them to purchase along. :)

Singapore's retailing at $149. I got this at $56!!!! Super cheap right?? Ok, no warranty. But, who cares? If really spoilt, I can buy 3 more at this price. LOL!!! This is the cheapest in the market le.. Some other online sellers are selling at $65 or $68. And this is who to order from!

Expo Baby Fair!!!! Price of Diapers.

Good Day Baby Keanan!!! First post with your name!! :)

Yesterday was a looooong day for your dad and mum. Mummy specially took leave to go to the Parenthood Baby Fair at Expo, to avoid the weekends crowds and to avoid the situation of many items going OOS, and also your daddy has to work hard on weekends! It was a long and tiring day for both of us. We started the day pretty early, well, at least it was early for me, at about 11plus and we were out to Wild Honey for Brunch. Very nice brunch they have but daddy says damage to his pocket. You know ur dad always like to say all these but I know he will still bring us go next time, so we just let him grumble abit ya? :p

Show u what you had for the morning's brunch. Big portion and healthy and taste good!!

English breakfast - got potatoes, sausage, bacon, tomato, scrambled eggs, mushroom, big beans and 2 big slices of toasted bread. Alot right??? And I finished everything!!!! Except the bread. Haha... Nice brunch!! We hope daddy bring us more often!!!

Then we proceeded to Expo immediately!! Our plan was to get your stroller and car seats, but we didn't get them in the end still. Later explain why. Tell you about the diapers first. Already heard news that Pampers was OOS. At 2pm!!!! So you know how crazy it was? But we were really blessed and lucky cos we reached just in time for their restocks!!! Happy!!! Know why they got OOS so quickly??

Nah, the price of PAMPERS at baby fair : -

Cheap right!!!!! SWEEP!!! But I didn't get alot too.. Each person was only limited to get 1 set each. So we got you 1 set NB Size, and 1 set S Size. NB size no need to get so much, cos you will outgrow them and S size will be able to fit as well. Since S was from 3kg onwards too.

Had wanted to get either Mamy Poko or Merries for you for the S Sizes. Only had Merries at the fair so I decided on Merries then. And Merries packaging jin swee... (very pretty in hokkien). Haha... And prices for Merries : -

Buy 4 packs of tape diapers n get 1 additional park FREE??! Means 5 packs of sizeS for only $71.80? Only $14.36/ pack! Wow!! 1 piece $0.266. Usual price $0.41/pc. WOW WOW WOW!!! SWEEP!!!!!!

I had wanted to get GOON Diapers for you. In NB Size cos other mummies were saying GOON diapers cutting very big. Ok, I had only wanted to get GOON and Merries, the Pampers were add on cos they were really too cheap to resist. Haha.. Anyway diapers get used up really quickly. And the prices of GOON : -

Usual price of GOON is $30 one pack!!! My goodness!! Very expensive... Must buy during baby fair. 50% discount!!!   SWEEP!!!!! I mentioned I wanted NB but the salesperson gave me wrong and I have S instead. Sigh.. Hope you will be chubby chubby then can faster advance to S Size ba... Cos my NB sizes doesn't seem very enough now... Anyway, daddy said singapore very easy, not enough he will go supermarket buy. Ok la, supermarket buy goon really VERY EXPENSIVE. Lobang lobang!!! For GOON diapers, go to www.diapers.com.sg . Selling at $20.90 instead of $30.

Mummy didn't get Huggies brand but the prices at the fair was crazy too!!

1st round of diapers shopping done!! We then walked around and bought other stuffs. Had to get breastpump too. And this was the big item that cost a big hole in my pocket. :( Mummy bought Medela PISA in the end, even though they are going to phase out, I asked and they said no matter what, they have to honour the warranty. And have to change the parts for us if it's spoilt or what. Decided on PISA also because the suction is really better than Freestyle, even though Freestyle was having a really good sale. Daddy also encouraged me to get PISA, he said pump's main purpose is to pump, of cos get one with good suction la. Ok, makes sense PAPA!!!

Got some nursing wear clothes from Spring Maternity again too. 30% discount for 3 items and above, again I couldn't resist to discount.

Also got the confinement shampoos, conditioner and shower gel.

Oh, and I also signed up for Motherhood Magazine at the fair!! It was a REALLY GOOD DEAL I thought. Usual subcription $50, i signed at $50. But there were alot of freebies!! And one of the freebies was the Avent milk storage bottles which could have easily cost $20++? So I signed! Plus I will be updated with news and information too!

Sorry baby, this time round, NO clothes for you. Mummy think you should have pretty enough for now and I should control buying cos mummy's savings is depleting!!! :p

Ok, why we didn't get the stroller for you was because mummy found another place that's selling cheaper. Cheaper than at the fair. For the brand that we want. Oh, and Mummy's changing mind to get Peg Perago Pliko P3 Compact instead of SI cos P3 really looks more comfortable for you. At most I go train up my muscles and carry the stroller lor... Need to check out SI Completo again before final decision. Will be getting from First few years at Paragon. Spring Maternity is selling at $598 at the fair, First few years selling at $499. Savings of another $100! Car seat selling at $649 at the fair, First Few years selling $599. Another savings of $50. So this is the reason why we did not get ur stroller and car seat at the fair. :)

Mummy very free hor? Can you imagine having such a long day and walk for so long, WITHOUT resting, then I reach home, unpack everything from the plastic bags, organise swee swee, take picture. Really very free lor.. Lol!!

And for the freebies during the fair!! Which were quite alot!!

See so many freebies, I'm a happy mama!!! Ok most of them weren't very useful. I only very "gian" the avent storage bottles, free packs of diapers, baby wipes and vitamin sweets. Not bad la!! All free leh!! :)

And for my future reference for all the prices, again I was very free to scan the receipts. Lol.

TOTAL DAMAGE FOR THE DAY: $1,042.92 .

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baby, next time when you grow up and see this blog, see how much were already spent even before you were born. Stroller and car seat haven't buy ok!! So please BE A GOOD BOY and study hard, be doctor or lawyer earn many many money and 孝顺你妈妈我!!!!!
